We suggest experience in Ashtanga Yoga method to have the most ideal preperation just like Larry's suggested path where students spend their first 200 hours of training learning the details of classical and modified Ashtanga Vinyasa. Rocket® Teacher Training courses offers up to 800 hours and 4 unique training modules in Ashtanga & Rocket Vinyasa techniques and teaching methodology. Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa® Yoga School and The Rocket® Collective are the only schools that can offer the path to become a Certified or Licensed Rocket Trainer, which gives teachers the ability to offer Certification Courses in Rocket Vinyasa with authenticity and in the support of the community. We have an affiliates program and licensed program for teachers and hosts! There is a way for our teachers to maintain their unique qualities while still being a part of the collective! Rocket is known for being inclusive so we can always work with any previous experience you may have from other schools who offer Rocket as a supplementary practice in their trainings with a simple review and assessment our advance training modules can become accessible to all.
We suggest when possible to be introduced to Rocket Vinyasa from one of our mentors via master classes or immersions before teachers are allowed to register for our teacher trainings. We know this is not always an option due to location and lack of accessibility. We suggest you take a few virtual classes to become familiar with the basic routines and philosophy.
Below is a basic break down on what teachers can offer. We encourage all those who wish to become a Rocket Vinyasa Teacher Training Facilitator to contact us directly to apply for our license program. Rocket Vinyasa Teacher Trainings should not be offered without a license.
By Level 3 Rocket® Vinyasa Teachers hold a 500 E-RYT status from Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa® Yoga School and are allowed to being their own training programs in collaboration with Rocket® Vinyasa.
Inspired ~ Less Than 100 Hrs
Inspired Rocket Teachers are like teacher who are still in the training process. Since our Rocket trainings are for yoga teachers only we encourage our graduates to teach what they have learned during our 5 day intensives. Through self practice and teaching facilitator learns what is best for them and their communities. After 100 hours of completion (minimum 50hrs in person) then the facilitator becomes officially authorized as a Rocket® Teacher.

100+ Hours
Grants the student access to teaching all class levels to their capability and level of comfort. Only after 100+ hours of training and upon assessment of skill and understanding by a Rocket Mentor can they be referred to as a Certified Rocket Teacher.

- Assist a Rocket Mentor in Workshops
300+ Hours - Rocket MEntor
Students who have completed an additional 100 hours in Level 2 Trainings for a total of 200+ hours training in Rocket Vinyasa Yoga. Plus 100 hours in Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Classical Ashtanga Methods. Plus 2 years in teaching experience with the Rocket Vinyasa Yoga Method will be acknowledged as a "Rocket Mentor"!
The Rocket Mentorship program begins to honor hours taught by the teacher to other Rocket Trainees through master classes and workshops. Ideally students are allowed to participate in the Rocket Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Trainings after some type of referral, which comes from Rocket Mentors in their area or online.

Assist a Senior Rocket Teacher in Teacher Trainings
500+ Hours
Students who have assisted in a total of 10 Rocket Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Trainings plus 3 Progressive Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Trainings and hold a E-RYT 500 will be ready to begin offering Rocket Vinyasa Yoga YTT .500 RYT Rocket Teachers will be able to led Rocket Teacher Trainings solo, but with materials and guidance from their mentor. RYT 500 Rocket Certified teachers can only Certify Rocket Teachers and not Rocket Yoga Training Facilitators. Yoga Conferences, video exposure, and website profile on www.rocketyoga.com will be awarded. Status is maintained by keeping Rocket Vinyasa Yoga as your primary style of teaching and maintaining proper association with the Rocket® Teachers Philosophy and Ethics guidelines.

800+ hours
Students who have a 500-ERYT through Progressive Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and have experience in teaching trainings for over 5 years. Students at this level are encouraged to have a studio location where they can fully connect to a community of like-minded students and host the teacher trainings in both Ashtanga Vinyasa at the basic 200 RYT designation and Rocket Vinyasa at the 300 RYT designation.
